Ch 1

Leafshower padded down the trail, Cloudtuft, Dizzyfall, and Birdswoop behind her. They were heading towards the Tigerclan border. Leafshower felt her muzzle twitch, as the got near the border. Something was wrong. Either they were waiting in ambush, or they were in battle. She quickened her pace, as did her patrol. Finally, after a while, they were standing at the border.

"Well, Leafshower?? You said something was wrong?" Cloudtuft, asked, his white fur rain-soaked. He was the deputy of her clan, Reedclan, and very strict about what went on.

She twitched her ears a bit. "I know somethings wrong, just-just wait."

"For how long??" Birdswoop asked. Her fur was plastered to her, and she was shivering slightly. "Weve been walked through rain all day! Were all cold and tired!"

Cloudtuft nodded his agreement, as did Dizzyfall.

"Im sorry, you guys can go back. Im staying here." She told them, eyes narrowed. They were either staying with her, of leaveing her alone. She waited to see which it would be.

Dizzyfall blinked, and sat down. "Im staying with Leafshower."

Birdswoop snorted. "IM not." Then she glanced at Cloudtuft. "Cloudtuft.?"

He sighed. "Its my duty to make sure we all stay safe. Birdswoop- you can go back to camp. It isnt that far if you take the meadow."

Birdswoop blinked, fur bristling, and she leapt off into the bracken.

Leafshower, meanwhile had been watching the border. She had spotted the Tigerclan leader- Jadestar snooping around her territory. She had gone out of view, and she was dying to see where Jadestar was headed. When Cloudtuft and Dizzyfall glanced away, she leaped over the border and scrambled down the cliffside. She looked around, and scented the air. Jadestar's scent covered the area. She had been here a lot.

"What are you doing here??!" Jadestar yowled, fur brisling, teeth bared in a snarl. She didnt wait for a answer before she leaped at Leafshower.
